What Causes Ringing Noises Along With Fluid In Ears?
My 18 year old son is having a ringing noise in one ear and says his hearing sounds muffled in that ear. He had never had any ear troubles before. He s even dizzy at times but No pain. He has? had some trouble with allergies lately. The nurse at school said she could see fluid in his ear. Can he take sudafed to drain it

As per your query you have ringing noise in ear along with fluid in ear and dizziness . The symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards a condition known as Meniere’s disease . This disorder causes vertigo (a sensation of spinning), hearing problems, and a ringing sound in the ear. The cause of Meniere’s disease is changes in the fluid in the inner ear. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist or otolaryngologist for proper diagnosis and rule out condition hearing loss , middle ear infection and acoustic neuroma . Doctor may order hearing test , balance test ( electronystagmography or VMP) and CT scan . Doctor may prescribe antiemetic drug or recommend hearing device , antibiotics . Doctor may also recommend surgical procedure like endolymphatic sac procedure .
