What Causes Right Sided Pain In The Temple While Treating Sinus Infection?

Hi I have had sinus pain in my cheeks on and off for the past week. Yesterday I developed sharp pain in my right temple radiating towards my ear. I went to a walk in clinic and the doctor said she was not sure if it was sinus infection since my nose is not congested. She suggested antibiotics since I get sinus infections often, a steriod nose spray, and Advil cold and sinus. I woke up today with sensitive skin around the temple and more of a dull pain but still not feeling right. Any suggestions what I should do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

A sinus infection can be there without congested nose . Temple pain running to ear can be due to either a sins infection or sometimes eustachian tube infection or middle ear infection. A repeat thorough ENT examination can detect the cause. Meanwhile continue the treatment prescribed by your doctor as it seems okay.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
