What Causes Right Sided Numbness On The Head While Treating Bulging Disc On C6 And C7?
I have a bulging disc between C6&7. I m experiencing numbness on the right side of my head, jaw and cheek. Radiating pain down right arm. Numbness on my the top of my right thumb. Should I seek immediate help at the ER or can I wait until next Friday. I m to start prednisone tomorrow.
Hi Thanks for posting your query on HCM The neck is a region with complex and coordinated bundle of nerves, vertebrae and muscles. When any of the nerves passing through the neck is compressed, symptoms like numbness and pain can be felt to all parts of the body where the nerve leads.A bulging disc between C6 and C7 may compress a nerve and be responsible for all the symptoms you describe. However, other metabolic problems problems like ionic imbalances and some neuropathies may give similar symptoms. I will suggest you start prednisolone and observe. It is a good steroid that may help with the symptoms. If the feeling persist , you may then go see the Doctor for investigations and some works-ups. Hope my answer will help you Best regards
