What Causes Right Hand Swelling In A Teenager Without Any Trauma Reported?

Yes. 14 yr old male with swelling rt hand. Denies blunt trauma or sting/ bite. Minor discomfort with flexion/extension digits. Not tender to palp. Cap_refill 2, rad appropriate . Plays basketball denies jamming wrist or falling. Familial HX: heart problems.

Hello dear Greetings
Regarding your experience with swelling of the hand with no history of blunt injury or Insect bite I am suggesting that you have developed the following differential diagnosis

Cellulitis
Carpal tunnel syndrome
Myositis
Peripheral vascular disease

In view of this please do the following test
X-RAY
ECG
Blood culture
Serum creatine kinase
Peripheral angiography
Serum electrolytes

Meanwhile please visit an orthopaedic specialist with the results and for further clinical assessment and adequate drug prescription
