Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my baby is one year old and has been passing stools for the last 48 hrs frequently. Doctor prescribed Enterogermina 3 times a day, Nutriline B 2.5 ml 3 times day and Zinc syrup. Its not improving as his stools are still happening. He had a same issue in April and we had to give him Gramogyl suspension and then his stools were fine. Please advise
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history about your 1 year old who has been passing stool frequently for the last 48 hours, not responding to Enterogermina, nutrolin B and Zinc syrup. Same issue in April was solved by Gramogyl, means there wan an infection. I would advise you to have stool tested and show the report to your Pediatrician, who will start proper antibiotic if there is an infection and will be effective. Continue the medicines the baby is already on. Watch for any dehydration and get treated properly.
