What Causes Reoccurring Fluid Filled Lump Near Vagina?

What causes reoccurring boil type lumps on lower anus near vagina. They are red, hurt for a couple days then subside leaving a purple scar(usually only one or two at a time), Sometimes the skin gets tender and they break leaving a little fluid and a spot of blood (not much AT ALL). Usually develop along my underwear line.

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Painful lumps or boils in peri-anal region could be due to bacterial infection. I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment, drainage of pus (if any collection) and antibiotic for treating infection.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
