What Causes Redness,pain And Inflammation In Finger?

Inflammation, redness, pain only in R pinky finger and only at night - 7-9PM, Pericardium (Fire) Channel time, in Traditional Chinese Medicine. I've been treating it with acupuncture and homeopathy.
Could it be carpal tunnel or median nerve compression?
