My Mom is 96. All her life she’s been healthy. A year ago she started with high BP. Under 200 on the top and nothing over a 100 on the bottom. She started medicine , but the flushing, red face, nervousness started back up after a year. They have changed her meds. , but she still has the red face, flushing . What can this be ?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your case history of facial Flushing, my treatment advice is:

1. Avoid sun exposure and use a good Sunscreen lotion with SPF more than 30.
2. Apply a soothing lotion like Calamine lotion on the affected region.
3. Take a vitamin c supplement for 3 months.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
