Hello, my name is Robert I found you're site helpful and chose to ask you a couple questions I may need a answer to. I had just finished 4 yrs of hemo dailysis and when the LPn started to remove the lines Art. 1st I started to feel very strange symptom one seeing red in my eyes and started to get a headache and my lips went numb. I report what was going on to the renal nurse and sat back down. Any advice you can offer as to why this happened would be great.

hello robert, thanks for the quiery.There are various side effects to hemodialysis, especially during the first few months to years of treatment. Many of these, such as nausea, headaches, dizziness, and cramps -- either subside or disappear after a few weeks. New complications may sometimes occur. Those who are so inclined may easily find something to worry about. Side effects are as varied as the patients themselves. However, many (though not all, of course) of the minor discomforts patients experience are just physical manifestations of their mental anxiety. After many months of dialysis, I believe that 90% of the problems the patient encounters can be under the heading "psychological adjustment." and patient also should continue their work.. If ur discomfort continues in your next session too, kindly consult your urologist. hope this helps.
