What Causes Redness And Swelling At The Site Of The Steroid Shot?
I recently went to see my Dr concerning a back injury. I was given a steroid shot and pain meds. I have been in pain alll eek. The steroid shot only giving me about 24hrs of relief. My symthoms have been a severely burning pain on my right thigh and pain in my right hip which I thought was a possible pinched nerve. The pain continues down my right leg to my knee. I discovered tonight that the place I was given the steroid shot is reddened and swollen looks like I have two bug bites at that spot. Am I experiencing steroid poisoning?

The redness and swelling at the site of the shot indicate possible inflammation or early cellulitis via the shot.
Local application of ice with anti-inflammatory medicines will cover it faster.
