What Causes Red Thigh Spots With Itching?

About 2 hours ago 7 or 8 small bright red spots appeared on my inner thigh just above my knee. I noticed them because they started to itch. I covered them with Dermol but they have not gone away (although the itching has stopped). I am concerned because the spots do not blanche when I apply pressure. Your comments would be appreciated.
