Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi... At the age of 11 months and with mixed feeding( formula and breast milk), infant may suffer from functional constipation. This may further lead to the passage of hard stools and this hard stools may cause erosion of mucosa and streaking of stools with blood. In such cases, infant may have pain while passing stools.
Another possibility is that as mouthing is common at this age, incidence of worm infestation increases and it may pass in the stools.
If certain diet protocol are followed such as fibre inclusion, along with regular deworming, most of them resolve.
