What Causes Red Spots On Large Toe?

My freind was telling me tonight that 70% of his left foot has turned Red and his large toe is now real purple. I asked him if he experienced a pain like bite. I was thinking it could be a spider bite. He says he doesn t think he was bitten by a spirder. I m concerned since his large toe has turned purple within two days. I ve tried to get him to go to the local medical office but he refuses to go. Sorry but I don t have a credit card and really can t pay for him because he can t afford to pay me back the charge. Thank you!!

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, redness of foot with no pain could be due blood circulation disturbances, right now the best way to get rid of this is to keep the leg in elevated position, avoid standing for long time, infection need to be taken care, diabetes need to be ruled out, Doppler study may some time needed, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
