What Causes Red Spots Around The Neck Spreading To Other Parts?

A while ago, I found red spots around my neck and chest area. A few hours later, it had moved to my arms and off my chest. Later, it was around my thighs and forearms. It disappeared from my arms and progressed down my legs. Within two days it was gone completely. It didn t hurt, but it did itch.

General & Family Physician 's  Response

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to allergy from some thing you exposed or you have eaten. If you have eaten some thing unusual like meat from outside or sea foods then it can be due to that also.
You can take antihistamines like cetirizine (zyrtec) for 5 days and apply calamine lotion locally on rashes. If this is not helping then you may need a short course of prescription corticosteroids like methyl prednisolone. For this you can approach your General practitioner.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
