What Causes Red Sores On The Tongue?

i have a red sore on the the font of my tongue with a white line on the side of it which is quite painful. As soon as it begins to heal another one starts right next to where the old one was. This has gone on for several months now. What could this be and what should I do?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain red sore on the tip of tongue along with white line surrounding it that keep erupting as the previous ones heals can be a Recurring Apthous Ulcer that can occur due to causes like deficiencies of Iron and Vitamin B12, traumatic injury, stress, Dry mouth etc..
Other causes can be cold sores caused by Herpes virus or can also be due to Bullous Pemphegoid..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Blood tests, Biopsy of lesion etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
As of now you can apply a numbing gel over the Ulcer to relieve pain..
You can take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen..
You can take a multivitamin tablet daily..
You can do cool compresses and suck ice..
