What Causes Red Skin Spots On Thigh?

A while back i have notice two pink/red skin spots on my thigh thought it could be because of underwear friction but they haven't went off. Now i suddenly note that i have a really big circle around my anus that appears just like them. Should i be worried or is it something that will go by itself?

Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

I would keep a possibility of fungal infection in the groins OR Tinea cruris. Fungal infection in this area commonly presents as Itching associated with redness and scaling. Classically, there could be well defined rings with peripheral spreading red scaly margins and central clearing.

If I was the treating doctor I would have suggested you to use an OTC antifungal e.g clotrimazole cream, twice daily for 4-6 weeks,

Along with that, I would also suggest an oral antifungal e.g fluconazole 150mg once every week for 4 -6 weeks.

An OTC antihistamine e.g cetrizine 10mg once daily would provide symptomatic relief from itching.

regards
