What Causes Red Rashes On Upper Chest, Arm And Stomach After Taking Advil?

I am a 54 yr. old female. 5' 6" At noon today I took 1 Advil cold and sinus tablet . . . I just noticed that I have a red rash on my upper chest, arms (shoulders) - and stomach. I have taken Advil for years and this is the first time I have noticed a rash. Should I go to the ER?

Hello,

If a person comes to me clinic with such complaint, I would suspect drug rash. In this itchy red rashes occurs on body after taking a medicine. You must have developed rash due to ibuprofen in Advil. I would suggest you to take Levocetirizine 5mg daily at night for 7 days and apply calamine with moisturiser. If you don't get relief visit a dermatologist in person.
