My Dear

Welcome to this website!

I have taken your details into consideration. To me it appears that you are having acute urticaria.

Urticaria is a term that is used to describe slightly raised areas of different shapes that appear on the skin with pinkish hue over a short duration and look like as if the area has been whipped. In general they can be itchy but on thick skinned area like palms the itching may not be too apparent.

This problem more often has no known cause but some cases develop after use of medications like analgesics, cough preparations or antibiotics. Some cases are attributable to foods like poultry, fish, nuts , and preservatives.
In general irrespective of the cause the treatment consists of providing anti allergic preparations like Cetirizine and locally applied hydrocortisone. It is only rarely that steroids may have to be given and that too when the patient has difficulty with breathing or swelling in the throat and respiratory passages.

I am sure you will get well soon with the suggested line of action.

Best wishes
