I need to ask you few questions: Did you have any eczema or red rash prior to the appearance of pigmentation? Are you having thyroid disorders, diabetes or liver disease? Is this discolouration associated with itching, burning or any other symptoms? What is the duration of the rash? Are you having any other ailments or taking any other medicines? Kindly revert with the answers. Regards Dr Asmeet

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my surgical experience, the issue with chronic skin lesion in absence of obvious hormone disturbances indicate possible immune disturbances producing effects over melanocytes.
* It is recommended to consult an expert dermatologist for microscopic evaluation of the skin condition with further immunologic testing to proceed for the definite care.
* Primary care with skin emollient, high vitamin c and antioxidant intake help great.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
