What Causes Red Lines On Skin All Over The Body With Burning Sensation In Ears?

My daughter gets these red lines all over her body after a shower as if she has been whipped. Her ears burn as if they are on fire. these red marks appear on their own at times. She has experienced severe itching and swelling. She is 37 years old. Any ideas what this could possibly be?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain it seems like allergic reaction as the symptoms of red lines or rashes and burning ears along with itching are all pointing towards allergic reaction..
As it is happening commonly after bathing it can be due to any soap, shampoo or other things like detergents used during bathing..
I would suggest you to consult an Allergist and get evaluated and he can do
a thorough clinical evaluation and also advise you allergic tests like Patch test, RAST test and food challenge test to rule out the exact cause of allergic reaction..
Avoiding exposure to allergen can prevent allergy symptoms.
You can also be given an Immunotherapy to reduce the allergy symptoms..
As of now when she gets the reaction she can take anti-allergics like Allegra or Levocetrizine for relief..
