What Causes Red Itchy Rashes On The Abdomen?
I have a rash that itches, is red and bumpy about the size of two 50 cent pieces at the side of my rib cage on my left side. it came up Monday, has not gotten bigger, or smaller, itches, does not appear to have fluid in the bumps - and underneath are sharp pains. what is it? thanks - Wanda

Hi.
As per your case history you are having allergic dermatitis.
My treatment advice is -
1. Avoid using any new products like soap or perfume.
2. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like mometasone cream on the lesions twice daily.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
