What Causes Red Hard Scab Near A Healed Wound On Arm?

So I received a cut on my arm from playing football. I am lettin the cut heal and it is now scabbed over. My real concern is that a red hard numb appeared about an inch away from the scab. I try to squeeze puss out of it but it is very painful and the red spot is really hard. I have put a heat pack thing on it and was wondering what I should do about it?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi
Welcome to healhcaremagic
After going through your query I concluded that you got injury after in your arm which scabed but a area of infected area developed slightly away from it which is pus filled. It requires drainage of pus by squeezing, followed by dressing. Antibiotics and analgesic are required. Vitamin B and C promote healing. You can discuss with your doctor about it . If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to help you.
Wishing you a good health.
