What Causes Red Circles With Bumps ?

My grand son has numerous red circles with bumps in the center.Somemofmtje are white. They look just like ant bites but are a little sore and don t itch. Giving him Zyrtec and using cortisone. Leaving for vacation Saturday and a little concerned.
