What Causes Red Bumps On Bottom And Leg, Itching In Anus?

Hi. My 2.5 year old son has red bumps on his bottom and one or two on his leg. His anus seems very raw and has been itching him off and on for a few days. The bumps just started a day or so ago and don t seem to bother him too much. Any idea what might be causing this? He wears only underwear, no diapers. Thank you.

Hi,

It may be impetigo most probably. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. I would recommend you to apply antibiotic cream on the bumps. Give him antihistaminics syrup like hydroxyzine HCL 5 ml. If needed, oral antibiotic suspension may be given under observation of doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
