What Causes Red Bumps In Pubic Area?

Hi , i have some little red bumps on my pubic hair area , unfortunatly they are spreading , i remember once i used a razor and shaved the pubic hair very quick , those symptoms appeared after that , i surfed the internet my symptoms ressemble to both folliculitis and MC but in their really early stages , but i dont want this to spread anymore , the doctor diagnosed me as molluscum contagium and suggested a freezing session every two weeks , so he asked me to remove my pubic hair with nair cream instead of razor in order not to irritate the bumps , i used the cream but unfortunatly the bumps also bleeded while wiping the cream off , so now i rubbed some fucidin pomad on them and waiting for my freezing session after 2 days , any help or information on this issue would be highly appreciated , thank you

Hello,

Since you are using hair cream removal instead of razor avoid wiping the cream roughly, you should wash it with luke warm water & then use soft wet cotton to wipe it clean gently. Avoid sexual contact for a couple of days, do not pick or touch the areas where the bumps are located. Avoid sharing toiletries. Do not touch or pick the bumps or the area affected by it. Keep the area clean and covered with topical podophyllotoxin cream (Condylox) or cantharidin (Cantharone) ointment.

Since Molluscum contagiosum is caused and spread by direct contact or by touching an object contaminated with the virus, a towel or a piece of clothing. You are suggested to eat nutritious home made food to boost your immune system. If you were sexually active, you are suggested to get STD tests done to stay on the safer side. If tests show positive reports, you will be treated with anti-virals.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
