What Causes Red Blotchy Skin On Heels Of Feet That Itches At Night?

my daughter has red blotchy skin on the heels of her feet/upper feet. Itches constantly at night but not in the day. its not athletes foot, Thought it could be juvenile plantar dermatosis, but photos look a look worse that what she has and doesn t say anything about itching.

Hi.
As per your case history your daughter is having juvenile planter dermatosis.
My treatment advice is -
1. Avoid foods like ice-cream, chocolate, cold water to avoid respiratory infections which may worsen the skin condition.
2. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like mometasone cream on the lesions.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
