What Causes Red Blotches On The Calf Below The Knees?

What is the cause of red blotches on the calf above the sock line and below the knee. I was walking for about 3hrs and nothing happened then during the last hour or so I noticed these blotches, which are not painful and neither itchy. I covered just over 23km but I noticed them after the 17th km. I am a 67year old male and quite fit.

Hi.
As per your case history you may be having purpuric dermatoses due to excessive pressure of blood on legs caused by long-time standing posture.
My Treatment advice-
1. Nothing to worry, just have a life-style modification.
2. Avoid long-time standing. Have rest for atleast 10 min after 1 hour of standing posture.
3. Take vitamin c tablet daily once for 4 weeks. Other treatment like calcium dobesilate cream can be also used.

Thanks.
