What Causes Red Blood Spots On Shin, Calves And Ankles?

I have tiny red blood spots on my shins and calves and ankles that appeared overnight what are they? and do I need medical attention? I have UC that is in remission and just got over anemia. does that have anything to do with it? 42 years old Navajo indian and worried.

Hello there,
In ulcerative colitis there are skin changes which include what you have described. They are called erythema nodusum. When your UC is controlled and brought under remission they will disappear on their own. Its co-dependant on your treatment and you do not have to worry.
