What Causes Red Blisters On The Left Thigh After Receiving A Twinrix Shot?

I had my last of 3 Twinrix on my left arm. About a week later, I started to get a bright red rash and bumps like boils on my left thigh. They are now spreading to other spots. Could this be a reaction from the drug? Sometimes it burns, sometimes itches.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms are probably related to an allergic reaction from Twinrix shot. I suggest you to use calamine lotion for local application.
I also recommend taking daily antihistamines. If the symptoms continue you should see your doctor for a physical examination.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
