What Causes Recurring Strep Throat Infections Post Tonsillectomy?

I had my tonsils removed 6 years ago. I have been super healthy but suddenly, in the last six months I have had two diagnosed cases of strep throat. Also, A few weeks ago, food and tonsillitis began collecting in holes and folds in the back of my throat. Besides removing the debris with a cotton swab, what can I do? Is it possible I need surgery again?

You must get it seen by your ENT Doctor. Need to rule out adenoiditis. Do steam inhalation. Take Tablet Augmentin 625mg twice a day for 5 days. Keep well hydrated.
