What Causes Recurring Strep Throat Infection In A Child?

my daughter (7 year 9 months) suffering from recurring strep throat. After the antibiotic course she is getting fever again. doctor prescribed pentid 400, and just want to know whether it will cause any side effect? she has already taken lot lot of antibiotics for the past three months. preiously she used to get strep throat once in a month or once in two months. now its coming withing 2 days after antibiotic course.

Pentid 400 refers to penicillin g. IN children the dose is given according to their weight so it is likely that the doctor would have determine how much she would have needed based on her current weight.

If she is getting repeated tonisillitis (throat infections) or very severe infections, you may want to consider whether she needs a tonsillectomy .
This refers to removal of the tonsils.
