What Causes Recurring Sore Throat?

Hi! I ve had a sore throat on and off for the last three weeks. It felt like any normal sore throat from a cold, so I didnt think anything of it. The second time was the same, and I assumed I may have relapsed on the cold. It came back today for a third time, but now it feels like the inside of my throat is bruised, and only hurts in a specific spot on the front when I swallow. Should I be worried about this, and what could it be?

Hi,

As per your query you are having recurring sore throat despite taking medications which could be due to viral pharyngitis and could be due to increased susceptibility of your body to get infected due to poor immunity.

I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles or betadine gargles 2-3 times a day and start vitamin C tablet for 10 days. You should take steam inhalation along with vaporizer. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined if symptoms keeps on persisting. Keep sipping warm water. Drink hot milk along with pinch of turmeric.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
