What Causes Recurring Palpitations?

My husband had a heart attack at 38. He had a stint inserted and Has been on a medication regiment for more than 10 years. He is now 49 and has been experiencing a fluttery sensation which is concerning. He wore a heart monitor recently but it did not indicate anything. He is currently having the flutter and I am worried. He is scheduled to have a stress test next week as a precaution since he has not had one in 5 years. I do not want to over or underreact. When would you advise action given the fluttery heart symptom? He did experience it while wearing the halter monitor, but again it did not indicate anything while he was having the feelings.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if the EKG is alright and does not indicate anything positive then no need to worry, better to get done the ECHO too along with stress test, some time coronary angiography may be needed, else this is nothing to worry, anxiety and stress may be the cause of flutter, hope this information helps, take care.
