Hi! thanks for writing to HCM!

After going through your description of the problem of dysphagia, I feel, if I were your treating doctor, I would like to consider following possibilities:

1. globus hystericus: just an annoying sense of throat lump without any anatomical abnormality 80% possibility

2. GERD as you mentioned 15% possibility

3. esophageal candidiasis 5% possibility

Therefore, you must see a gastroenterologist for a close detailed examination, endoscopy if necessary and necessary treatment.

Hope this helps you..

Regards,
