What Causes Recurring Fever And Cough In An Infant Post Vaccination?

I hv baby boy of 2 months 18 days...he was given dtp vaccine 4 days back but still he gets mild fver attack in between through the day...n he also got cough since 2 days ...bcg vaccine site got scab now after bursting ...m giving paracetamol syrup 8 hrly ...how many days my baby hv to suffer from this fever...n is bcg reason for cough

Thanks for your question. I do understand your pain and discomfort.Please find my advice below-
1)Your child may experience fever, soreness, and some swelling and redness in the area where the shot was given. Depending on your child's age, pain and fever may be treated with paracetamol 60 mg only if required 8 hours after second dose then stop.
2)Keep breast feeding as usual as little fever after post vaccination is good for child
3)A warm, damp cloth or a heating pad also can help reduce soreness. Moving or using the limb that has received the injection often reduces the soreness.
