What Causes Recurring Dizziness, Earache And Tightness In Nape?

I have been dizzy for over a week. I also have ear ache in both ears off and on. I feel tightness in the back of my neck. I have been using a neti saline wash the past three days. I have blurred vision with correctve eye glasses being useless. Could this all be tied to eye infections for over a month? I am on 2nd week of antibiotic eye drops. I also vomited last week one time. It came on suddenly in the middle of the night. I haven't felt right since then. I have no fever. Thank you.

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have recurring dizziness, earache and tightness in nape . Well there can be many reasons for vertigo , but the most common is anxiety and the other Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) are ear infection , hypoglycemia , anemia , meniere's disease , migraine , cervical spondolysis , sinusitis and alteration in he blood circulation . In your case the symptoms can also be due to cervical spondylosis . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist again if condition doesn't get better for proper examination . Doctor may order test like rotatory chair test , head movement test , posturography , blood test , examination with otoscope and CT scan . Doctor may prescribe antiemetic drug , sedatives , antibiotics like gentamicin and recommend balance therapy , vestibular therapy or physiotherapy . Doctor may also refer you to orthopedic surgeon . For now do not bend forward , apply warm compresses to neck and drink green tea thrice a day .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
