What Causes Recurring Chest Pain?

Hi I ve had chest pain now for over a week. It seems more to be toward the top right to middle of my chest. I m a 28 year old young Man who smokes, but I have no cough or anything. The pain is constant and I keep finding myself rubbing my chest. I m very worried about this because I am so young. is i required to consult doctor the please suggest whom ?? like who is specialist in such cases ..like if we have skin problem then we consult skin doctor like that ..please help me out its paining little with every beat ...

Hello

Recurring chest pain need proper evaluation even in young age.You can consult internal medicine specialist.
It may be due to may reasons like cardiac,pulmonary,acid reflux,musculoskeletal reasons etc.
You need clinical correlation and investigations.Investigations include routine hemogram,random blood sugar,renal function test,liver function test,lipid profile,ECG in all leads,chest X-ray(PA view).ECHO and upper GI endoscopy can be done if needed.

Proper treatment depend upon findings.
