What Causes Recurring Blurring Of Vision In One Eye?

Thank you, hi there, my boyfriend has been experiencing what he thinks is glaucoma in his right eye (very cloudy vision) which seems to be relieved by drinking cold coffee, do have an explanation that might help him treat his possibility of early onset glaucoma? He also experiences less cloudy vision wen he is relaxed!?!

Hi,

Cloudy vision and blurring of vision are two different terms used differently. Blurring of vision is the term used when an object in out of focus which makes the object not clearly seen normally. But on squinting the eye, one can see that object clearly. Cloudy vision is the term used in case of hazy or foggy vision. The objects are not clear even on squinting.

At sometimes, one may have both cloudy and blurring of vision. Cataract is the most common cause of cloudy vision. But the condition is usually present at the old age. Some kind of cataract may occur at early age. Age related macular degeneration, diabetes, are some other chronic condition causing cloudy vision. High blood pressure may also cause abnormal vision. Acute injury, infection, inflammation of the eye can cause sudden visual disturbances. Visit an ophthalmologist for physical eye examination.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
