I am 55 years old, female, 5Ft. 4in. My urinalysis showed trace blood in my urine. I went back for a retest and there was no blood. This happened once before about 6 years ago and I went to the urologist and he found nothing wrong. Why does this happen?
Your need fresh investigations and clinical examination. Hematuria(blood in urine)may be due to many reasons like UTI,Calculus in kidneys or urinary bladder, tumour etc. It is also important to rule out tumour in your case. You need investigations like routine hemogram,RBS,Renal function test,Ultrasound of abdomen.CT scan of abdomen can be done if needed. Proper treatment depend upon findings. It is important to investigate hematuria even if it is occasional.
