What Causes Recurrent Vertigo After Switching Into A New CPAP Machine?

I recently (4 weeks ago) changed to a different CPAPmachine. I have noticed periodic episodes of vertigo when I get up in the morning. In browsing the web, I ve come across other CPAP users who experience this same problem and have a variety of fixes , some more effective than others. I also noted there are certain medications which can cause light headedness and/or vertigo. This morning it was room spinning type vertigo for 3-4 minutes. I am on Cymbalta, Wellbutrin, Amlodipine and Lisinopril, but have not noticed the vertigo until recently. Any information would be helpful. Thanks!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The vertigo with switching over to new CPAP machine may indicate carbon dioxide retention and secondary pH changes in the blood which may be heading to cerebral hypo-perfusion and vertigo; cymbalta as Duloxetine level fluctuation or else. Kindly discuss the issue with your consultant for best step approach and clear the vertigo issue at earliest without delay.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
