What Causes Recurrent Rash On Body?

My mother in law is suffering from a reoccuring (about twice a year) skin rash that is very pruritic. The strange thing is that where ever it appears on her body, weather it be arms, legs, clavical, it also appears on the other side of the body. Meaning, if it appears on her right upper arm it seems to also appear on the left upper arm. The rash starts out wet and dries. Topical creams have not helped much but prednisone pills are helping.

Oncologist 's  Response
Hello,

It seems your mother in law is suffering from atopic dermatitis. Identification of the allergen is a must to prevent this. Antihistamines and steroid cream will help. Please visit a dermatologist for allergen testing.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
