What Causes Recurrent Pulsating Sensation On The Left Side Of The Head?

I have this pulsing on the left side of my head, a little above the ear. It comes and goes, but when it is pulsing i can feel it in my head. When i feel it with my hand to pulses irregually. It often wakes me up at night. I had an MRI/brain and blood work to test inflammation, all normal. Anything it could be?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It could be migraine with aura. As first-line management, you can try drugs like triptans. If symptoms persist better to consult a neurologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
