What Causes Recurrent Pain In Both Feet?

Experiencing sharp heal pain, both feet but more painful in left foot. Had pain 2-3 months. Pain eases at night but returns after minor walking next day. Different shoes have some effect regarding severity of pain, but pain is constant. OTC pain melds don t help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

If there is heel pain then I would first recommend an xray of the region. Osteophytes can be related to high uric acid or gout and if seen on the xray may require medical intervention. At the same time your doctor may also choose to check your serum uric acid levels to confirm/rule out this to be the cause.

Best wishes.
