What Causes Recurrent Pain And Pimple In The Right Ear?

Hi my right ear hurts very badly from time to time and I usually get pimples in only my right ear. Also when I rub my ear around to help it feel better it is just constant cracking like it is broken. I know ears can t break because of cartilage but it definitely feels broken

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of recurrent pain and pimple in the right ear which is due to recurrent ear infection. It could be due to otitis media.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis. Doctor may examine by otoscopic to check level of infection. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics amoxicillin or penicillin at least for 10 days along with decongestant and anti inflammatory. Taking steam several times a day will also help a lot. Avoid touching or pricking with any sharp object.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
