What Causes Recurrent Kidney Infection In A Child?

my granddaughter is 8 yr old and we have deat with this several times usually kidney infection .We have her a lot and wash her dirty clothes. Her urine smell is the worst on her underwear . My husband usually washes the underwear 2 to 3 times.Can you suggest some other ideas that it might be? Thanks,Allison
