What Causes Recurrent Fever In Spite Of Taking Advil And Tylenol?

Hi.I had a fever last night, Took advil and Tylenol staggered. Last tylemol or advil was at 8am. I threw up at 7:30am . I took a gravol at 8am to get me through the morning. I have not had any meds since and now the fever is coming back. It is 7:30pm. Could this fever just at night be just a flu or virus?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have recurrent fever in spite of taking Advil and Tylenol. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons like gastroenteritis, medication reaction , side-effect , food poisoning , irritable bowel syndrome , drug overdose and viral pharyngitis. In your case it seems to be due to viral infection. Need not to worry. Your symptoms will go its own in 7-10 days. I would suggest you to consult general physician once for proper examination. doctor may order blood tests for complete examination. Doctor may prescribe antiviral medications along with anti inflammatory medications. You should take Ibuprofen for fever and body pain. You should take plenty of fluids. Take diet rich in multivitamins. Avoid outside food and cold carbonated beverages. You should do tepid sponging as well.
