my husband has had diarrhea for 3 weeks, took him to our local ER last week, when it was at it s worst. he was Hospitalized 3 days, diagnoses,diverticulitis. They gave him IV fluids, antibiotics. The fever, heart rate , Bp, and white bloodcount went down, but, diarrhea continued. It slowed down,but never stopped. He was dismissed with oral antibiotics. he felt a little better over weekend, but continued to have very loose bm s. Today diarrhea is back, and he doesn t feel well. seems to be reverting back to where he was last week. His Dr. hasn t returned our call. I think he needs to see a gastroenterologist.
