What Causes Recurrent Cough And Sinus Pain Despite Taking Medication?

I have a bad cough and also sinus pain. These seem to be my major symptoms for about a week. I have taken many different products but just when I think I'm getting better the symptoms are back. I don't know what to take at this point. I don't know if it's seasonal allergies or a cold or sinusitis.... help!

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

It looks like Sinus infection, however similar symptoms can be seen in Seasonal allergies..
So once you should get a clinical examination done and if a confirmation is needed investigations like blood test to rule out allergies and a Sinus x ray can be done to confirm the exact cause..
If there is sinus infection then a course of antibiotics like Augmentin, anti inflammatory painkillers and decongestants can be advised..
If it is allergic then anti allergics like Levocetrizine and steroid nasal sprays can help in improvement.
Along with it steam inhalation and saline nasal irrigation can help..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
