What Causes Recurrent Abdominal Pain And Vaginal Bleeding After Inserting Misoprostol?
Halo, I took misoprostol on sunday and also inserted some minutes later. I started feeling pains and started bleeding, after that sunday I didn t feel pains in my lower abdomen andthe flow has been light on tuesday I started feeling pains in my lower abdomen again. I dnt knw if it s too early to do a urine test test and am scared that I Amm still pregnant.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Misoprostol is used for inducing abortions in pregnancy less than 12 weeks. It is always advisable to take abortion pills under medical supervision. Based on your description, it appears that abortion has taken place. But, it is difficult to predict weather all the products of conception has been expelled or not. Sometimes, the pain and bleeding could continue for few more weeks after the initial bleeding is over. It would be better for you to consult Gynecologist and get examined clinically and then undergo a ultrasound abdomen scan to make sure all the contents have been expelled out completely. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
