Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I tend to go from one illness to another and can t seem to get on top of it. The biggest problem is that I don t tend to get fevers or I get what is considered a low-grade fever. I ve had pneumonia without fever. I ve had numerous sinus infections with little or no fever. I ve had UTIs with no fever. I ve had bronchitis with no fever. The result is that I often get dismissed as if nothing is wrong with me, yet I still don t feel well. Is this common or could something else be going on?
Sometimes, having an infection is not associated with fever. And it is completely normal. We do evaluate the status of our patients as in your case through various lab tests including complete blood count, urine analysis, and culture, biochemistry studies etcetera.
If all of them are within the normal range, then there is nothing to worry about. If no organic issue is there and you are still not feeling well, then, consult further with a neurologist to rule out neurological issues. Psychological support can help.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Albana Sejdini
